portrait session tips
1. When choosing a location, I normally ask our clients if there is a place most meaningful to their relationship or their story.
2. For outfits, we recommend bringing one formal outfit, and one casual outfit. If we are going to a specific location, you may consider attire that is fitting for that setting. For instance, if we are heading to a memorial in D.C., formal wear would look beautiful against that backdrop! If you prefer somewhere in the mountains, or at a vineyard, you might choose something more casual.
3. We schedule our portrait sessions according to when we will have the best sunlight, two hours after the sun rises or two hours before it sets.
4. We encourage our clients to get creative, and would love to collaborate with you to make your session unique. If you have props that would express your story, feel free to bring them!
